This is one of the best-made toys I have ever seen. Given to a 2yo boy who is fascinated by switches and lights. It took him only 5 minutes to figure out how all the switches work. At first, he couldn't press hard enough to activate the rocker switches, but he mastered those very soon. He even mastered inserting the key,- that is the biggest challenge. I am using this toy to teach colors, teach "key", "plug in" and more. The toy requires 2 AAA batteries, mentioned on the Amazon product description but not on the package. The key is described as a master on-off switch, but it is not. It just controls one light. Adults must turn off all the switches to shut the toy off.

This is a great toy! I bought it for my 3.5 year old who loves helping his dad with tools and fixing things. This is a perfect thing to keep him busy. The only downside to this particular version is there are a lot of separate small parts that are hard to keep track of or together.

We gave this to a close relative's daughter who is 16 months, and— she truly LOVES it! Each switch button being unique seems ideal for a wide range of baby-toddler development stages. Blue was the go-to favorite for our giftee! The construction is solid wood; the corners do show wear immediately (but also we are dealing with children, so yeah... expected). I think the description of "sensory board" is somewhat accurate, but more focused on search-terms than true description. This is the type of toy you give an active, curious child to help them discover how mechanical instruments can work. Not just a a plain, typical "sensory toy" in my opinion. I personally was excited seeing this toy in action; I may have to craft one for myself next time around!

Looks like picture but I should have paid more attention to the dimensions. This is a pretty small toy. I was hoping for something bigger. I feel that the target age should be much older instaed of the 1+ noted.

Saw toy on a couple videos that parents cut screen time. it was neat so I had to try it. I have a 2 year old and he was immediately interested! It’s in our busy bin to replace screen time. Thank you for the invention of this toy.

I got this to keep my very active 2 yr old nephew busy. It's lightweight but sturdy, smooth and soft surface, rounded edges, lots to mess with and keep them busy, and I absolutely love how secure the battery compartment is underneath the black and yellow "power" tag at the top. The back is completely smooth and seamless.

The quality of this is great! The wood is so smooth so little hands won't get any splinters and it's really sturdy. All of the switches feel durable as well. I love that there is a variety of mechanisms to challenge little kiddos as they progress with their fine motor skills. Also great tool to learn cause and effect! Suitable for multiple ages. Overall awesome product, definitely recommend!

This busy board toy is compact and handy, and is the perfect size for young toddlers. This could enhance their color cognition and fine motor skills. All the buttons are very well-made and no small parts come off. It's very safe for the little ones to flip switches over and over again. It's small and compact in size, easy to carry around and keep the young ones engaged for a long time. Highly recommended!

My little granddaughter and grandson have so much fun playing with this busy board. They actually fight over who gets to play with it. They have a blast flicking the switches and pushing the buttons and twisting the knobs. This one even has a key to turn and a charging cable to plug in. I haven't seen any other busy board that has those on it. They learned very quickly how to operate each one to get the light to turn on. The dial knob will rotate multi-color lights slow or fast depending on how far you turn it. They like the different color lights. It has really helped them to learn their colors too. It is amazing how a simple toy can bring such happiness to young ones. I have to admit that I like playing with it as much as they do.

This toy seems very well made, although it feels light in weight. The buttons, switches and knobs are all easy to manipulate and the light response time is immediate. My only caveat is that the lights themselves appear dull and "opaque", not crisp and bright. (The photo has all the lights turned on.) Two AAA batteries are not included.

So the biggest thing for me is it’s safe, and keeps the little guy (19 months) busy for a couple hours. He would bring it to me to help with the key part as it is snug in the lock. But he’s still little, and will gain that strength to pull the key out himself. The keys are on a string that is very secure in the box; so no worries if the lil guy decides to swing it around by the string. Even the wire plug in is well secure! And I believe this could go up to those in their 50s. As my husband and dad both were impressed with the toy, and were flicking the lights. Of course they checked it out themselves to see how well it was put together! Of course they gave complete approval to how well made it’s created! So definitely hope they make bigger ones, with other options because for once my little guy is not bored! Plus it’s not that big/clunky and fits perfectly in the diaper bag. Good to take on the road, restaurants, doctors office, etc. In general a well made, and perfect for distractions when having to wait!

I really liked the idea of having an activity board for my 2 year old, and came across this. I thought the buttons and switches would be helpful. I think this might be good for some kids, but my little one has only figured out some of the buttons to turn the lights on, and others just frustrate him at the moment since he can't figure out how it works. I think it is also a bit confusing that the lights aren't the buttons. He sees the colored lights go on and thinks the light itself is the button. It's also much smaller than I figured, though I should have looked closer at the dimensions I suppose. Pros: Good exposure to different switches and buttons, with a plug and a turning key. Small so more portable. Wooden base, meaning slightly less plastic for toys. Cons: Could be frustrating if some switches are beyond the child still. Instructions are almost nonexistent, and the ones they do have are printed so small and poorly that I can't read them. The one direction they have printed large enough to read says to turn off the power when the board isn't being played with but there isn't an off button!! You have to use a screwdriver to unscrew the power panel and take out the batteries in order to "turn off the power", so that's clearly not happening every single time it's being used.

We use screens in an absolute emergency because our son turns into a screetchy zombie when we bring them out. This toy is perfect for occupying him at restaurants, waiting in lines, etc. He's had it for several months now and still plays with it. The bit with the key is a bit wiggly now but still works.

Great for imaginative play! I purchased for my 2 year old who loves pushing buttons and flipping switches, but my 4 year old actually loves it just as much. She pretends to control different items (and people lol) around the house. Battery life is also amazing. Two months after unboxing and adding batteries, the lights are still bright, and the kids regularly forget to turn all the lights off. I most recently found it at the bottom of the toy box with multiple lights on and it must have been in there for at least 2 weeks.

This busy board was entertaining for my 11 month old and my 2.5 year old. For a good 20 minutes each. The lights! The buttons! The clicking sounds! It’s compact and easily fits in small kids backpacks & diaper bags. Truly, probably one of our favorite toys we own!

This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made! My 2 year old is obsessed. It’s such a fun toy to keep him occupied and it also helps him work on his fine motor skills. Would buy this again 100 times. The only negative I’ve found is that the batteries come loose if the toy is dropped hard, so you’ll have to unscrew the cover to the battery compartment to fix it, and screw it back on super frequently until they understand they can’t be super rough with it.
